Rolling 5 LBs takes about 170 Spell Haste at 0 latency. The amount of +Healing or Regen that you lose in reaching that number isn’t nearly worth what you’d get from rolling a 5th LB stack.
The ZA neck is the 2nd best Resto neck in the game and arguably 1st if you don’t care about Stamina, simply because of it’s high +Healing in conjunction with Spirit. The ZA cloak isn’t as good as either Prince’s cloak or the PvP Badge cloak though.
Most of the top ranked items have Spell Haste because our Sunwell gear has Spell Haste on it. Even without the Spell Haste they would still be our best pieces.
Spell Haste is really only valuable in Sunwell, where a good deal of Regrowth casting is necessary to combat the massive raid damage and also because our +Healing begins to hit diminishing returns. For anything else, an equal amount of +Healing would be better than Spell Haste.-This is my Druid, there are many like him, but this one is mine.So I switched to Resto about a month ago since I had no luck in Kara getting feral drops, but managed to accumulate quite a bit of resto gear. Anyway, I’ve been to the Loot Rank links from the EJ Tree forums, and I noticed that many of the top pieces have spell haste. Now I know that haste is great once it allows you to start using 5 LB cycles instead of 4, but when does that happen? I’ve read various things that say that you have to take into account your latency, but I’m not entirely sure how to work that into your calculation. If it helps, my latency typically ranges from 150 to 250ms depending on the night.
At what point does it start to make sense for me to stack haste over other stats? I’m specifically referring to the neck and cloak out of ZA, as I don’t have access to anything beyond the first few bosses in SSC and TK.
Thanks in advance,
If I recall, this quest has some funny bugs. I ran into a few when I did mine, where the moonstone was no where to be seen but I would have mines in the river.
Drop the quest and re-pick it up, that is what fixed it for me. What is suppose to happen is you chase the bugger down the river and catch her.
Here’s some notes on it from WoWWiki:
Notes
If you don’t see the Moonstone on the altar, wait a few minutes for it to respawn, another Druid is doing the quest.
If you have the PVP trinket [Insignia of the Alliance] or [Medallion of the Alliance] or anything else that will remove a stun effect ([Free Action Potion]), consider wearing/using it as Rizzle Sprysprocket will sap you after she takes the Moonstone. However, note that this will shorten the quest considerably. Many have had fun chasing her down the river.
When Rizzle jumps off the cliff, she’ll swim south down the river.
Shift into Cat Form to reduce fall damage and then quickly switch into Aquatic Form to catch up to her.
Rizzle drops two kinds of bombs. One will explode and launch you out of the water, the other will freeze you in place. Remember that switching forms will remove the frost nova, so switch out and back into Aquatic Form to continue the chase.
There are some speed enhancers in the water to help you catch up to Rizzle.
There is a bug where, if you fall in the river before picking up the moonstone, Rizzle will drop ice grenades on you as you swim down the river, even though you haven’t actually encountered her yet.
or Here’s a Tip from Allakhazam:
Precison Coordinates: 14.1, 47.8
(1) Teleport to Moonglade
(2) Fly to Talrendis Point, Azshara
(3) Ride North, along the East side of the river
(4) Click on the Moonstone and get stunned for 8sec
(5) Hop on your mount, or use dash or travel form and go South down the East side of the river
(6) When you see her using Track Humanoids, jump in and cut her off

Man, that seems pretty low. I don’t say this all to brag but to express my dissappointment in WLK gear. At level 78 I already have 23.5k hp, 29 dodge and 22k armor, and I’ve only upgraded 5 pieces of my tanking set from my level 70 set that wasn’t even anything special at level 70! (no tier gear and no badge gear other than Idol of Terror) Hell, I’m still rollin’ in a handful of PvPurples (S1 hat and shoulders, S4 belt and gloves) because the best possible replacements I’ve come across are sidegrade drops/rewards and very minor craftable pieces that would cost a fair amount of money and I figure(d) I would start coming across actual upgrades one of these days. –

1st time poster, long time lurker.
So here’s where im at. Switched from Feral tank to Moonkin Thursday of last week.
Been grinding heroics, getting gear…ect. The problem is my DPS fluctuates so much,
from 1500dps to 2.2k dps. In the easier instances, mobs die so fast I can only get
a few Wraths off or a single Hurricane.
If I reset Recount for a boss fight, I can put up 2.2k dps pretty easy unless there is
alot of movement involved. H-UP I sustain atleast 2k dps thoughout the instance.
Yesterday we ran 25 man OS……….I could only muster a measly 1.8k dps from start to
finish. I ended up 15th on the dps/damage meter. Not Good.
Ive used two of the recommended specs off of EJ, both with about the same results with
+/- 100 dps.
Trash rotation – MF, Wrath x2 (while tank gets aggro on all mobs), Hurricane.
Boss rotation – IS, MF, Wrath till SF Eclipse proc, SF till proc is over, Repeat…..
Boss rotation 2 – Same as above but SF till Wrath Eclipse. Usually ends with a drop in DPS.
I have zero mana issues.
Any advice in general or on spec, rotation, gear would be great as im at a loss.
Thanks
Iron Counterweight and 10 haste to gloves and stay in bear form. You will kill everything with that much haste. Also get the haste heirloom trinket and the heirloom pvp gear.-

I’m getting very bored of end game content on my boomkin and looking for other ways to amuse myself until ulduar comes out. i decided to make my lvl 24 druid a twink for lvl 29 BGs. anyone got a good spec/gear combo for it?
Feral is the way to go.
I was getting a boost from a boomkin not long back and she was taking a load of damage. A feral stepped in and things went smooth from there. The problem is that anything that hit hard back in the day still hits hard now so avoidance and mitigation still play their part.
Edited, Oct 22nd 2009 9:09am by KevMc-Minimc – Magekey thing to remember is that you only have to kill 1 boss for the achievement and that’s the final boss.
You can stealth all the way to the end, clear any trash right next to the boss and then nuke the boss for the win.
As boomkin you might have to hot the hell out of yourself and pop all your cooldowns to do this, I dunno. Have never tried it – 80 Feral Drood

“OH SHlT SON ArexI’m going to go back and get some of the BC heroic dungeon achievements. Just for fun I want to try to solo them. What kind of bear stats are recommended for this(hp/dodge etc).
Also, can a bear druid solo Anzu. I want my mount -Why is it a penny for your thoughts, but you have to put your two cents in? Somebody’s making a penny here.
I’m really glad they took hit off of a lot of the gear. Before ICC I was often finding myself passing on 245 gear over my 232, just because it had too much hit and not enough other stats. From what I see, hit is going to be in the jewelry and back pieces, which is the way it should be. Save the optimal slots for stats that will have greater dps output. If you don’t have the rings/neck/back to get up to the hit, gem for it. Gemming for hit instead of having it on your gear opens up the possibility for optimal gear setups via gem socket bonuses as well.-Why is it a penny for your thoughts, but you have to put your two cents in? Somebody’s making a penny here.A back without parry may help as will non-PvP feet.
I had alts farm to make the 264 crafted ones. Very sexy with big expertise no hit though.
Also get better trinkets. Stam whore trinkets impress the PuGs but well I prefer more useful ones. AED is the tank meta not RED, fix that as well.
The 251 tier legs have big expertise. Not hit, damn. Expertise is hawt though.
Ummm for the hit I can give you 1.52 hit if you give me some expertise or armor. I’m getting my hit from belt and old T9 tier stuff.
So when I swap them out can I have it back?
-Day light savings is for fools.
For much of this xpac I have been drowning in hit, absurdly over the cap in both tank and dps. Now in ICC I suddenly wonder how on earth I’m gonna get any.
I haven’t paid attention to hit because I always assumed it would be there, so it took me until yesterday, when I got enough emblems for my third t10 tank piece to realize none of the t10 have hit. If I replace my t9.5 legs I’m gonna lose 74 hit. I’ve already managed to get below cap and am using +hit food to ensure my taunts don’t miss.
Then I started browsing the upgrades available in ICC (which are underwhelming for bears anyway, whole separate QQ thread). It appears that almost none of them have +hit. Which leads me to ask — how the hell are my fellow bear tanks maintaining their hit now? Gemming? Enchants? Pieces of gear I don’t know about? Or 25-mans (which I hate to run)?

Warriors have a Intimidating Shout, which paralyzes the person they have targeted, and causes those within radius to run in fear. It’s a relatively short fear, but annoying none the less.
Priests have an instant AOE fear, and warlocks have an AOE fear with some cast time.
Sadly, the hunter PVP trinket (Insignia of the Alliance) does not dispell fear effect, but rather only imobilizing or stun effects. Fear is not considered either of these.
Your best bet is just to franticly click anything that would stun the caster and hit them right when you get out of fear (Scatter Shot, Intimidation) then get in their and Freezing Trap them, and then proceed to have your way with them.-Striveldt

That fear thing… it bothers me.
What I mean is someone casting fear and me, more often than not, running around with a purple bubble on my head.
I find it almost as bad when it happens to my pet and worse when it happens to us both.
What can I do, carry or equip, to combat those three eventualities:
- me getting feared?
- the pet getting feared?
- both getting feared?
I have noticed warriors seeming to cast it. How on earth do they? If they have a trinket, then what is it and can I carry something to break fear? A potion?
Of course I would like not to have to compromise gear to do so. I cannot carry around a piece of armor or, worse, a weapon… just in case.
Thanks.
Personally i would put 5 points on the ranged weapon specialization, 2 on the combat experience and 3 on the careful aim. I prefer Lots of RAP.
I wouldn’t know which 10 points to deduct from, but yeah.

[Spankin Bank]Being so deep into MM and have zero points in Ranged Weapon Specialization is really a waste. Seriously, that’s one of the staple talents in MM tree.
You should get 2/2 Go For The Throat. It is great for both PvE and PvP; especially since you do not have access to Bestial Discipline. In PvE, you need some way for your pet to replenish focus or else it will lose aggro and deal less dps. Also in PvP, it is very useful if you have a Windserpent (which most MM hunters do) because every time you crit, your pet get 50 focus to blast people with a strong ranged attack that’s not mitigated by armor (i.e. Lightning Breath).
You probably don’t need Concussive Barrage. I’d probably spend the points elsewhere.
Improved Arcane Shot is really not that great now that this shot has been nerfed. Still, if PvP is a concern, then i can see how you would want the shortened cooldown.

My opinion is that if critting somehow matters to you (Go For the Throat, late survival talents) or if you actually get hit a good bit, go for agility. Otherwise stray on the side of AP since it tends to come in double the quantity of agi and is worth a little more than half its damage output value. (I’ve worked it out as about a 5:3 70 hunter of Dark Legacy, Lightbringer
Only the exceptions can be exceptional.
Send me your site feedbackagrees with midnightunless you plan on being a level 49 twink, it doesn’t really matter much. Wear whatever will suit your playing style. You can go for mostly Power gear and do a lot of steady, high damage, or your can go a lot of Agility and get a bunch of crits. At level 58, you can grind in the Outlands and get quest gear with AGI, AP and Stamina.
My personal opinion on sub-60 PvE gear is that as long as your main focus is Agi/AP with secondary stats of int/stamina, you’re doing just fine.-Ayrianna 80 Nightelf Hunter – Queen of Typos

I’m sorry. But the 2.0 patch agi got nerfed. Now Agi only adds 1 RAP per point. I found it easier to find AP gear that has higher stats. my lvl 44 NE hunter has 482 RAP, and 146 agi. In your opinion should I swich to AGI gear or stay with AP?
I have seen the calculations, I would like some real game input.
