Navigate to your game folder (normally C: Program Files World of Warcraft)- Go into the Data folder- delete the patch.MPQ file- If you have any patch-*.MPQ files (for example, patch-2.MPQ), delete these too- drop back to your main game folder and run the Repair toolThe Repair tool will explain that your game needs to be reverted, allow the game to revert and then re-patch. If you still receive errors, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the entire game.Two specific errors that may occur during or after patching and require you to revert the game are:Unable to Validate Game VersionIf you have downloaded and installed the patch from a mirror site, it’s possible that your game version may be newer than that on the official World of Warcraft realms. Game patches are normally released on a Wednesday, if you have updated your game manually before the patch is released on the live realms, you may receive the Unable to Validate Game Version error. You will need to uninstall and reinstall your game if you have patched early, before reinstalling you might like to try reverting your game by following the steps above.
